Twelve straight answers.
Mostly about the verdict, because that is the part worth being suspicious of. If something here is still unclear, write to support@verifytolaunch.com and a person answers.
The verdict
How the answer is reached.
How can you validate an app idea before the app exists?
Your idea becomes a funnel: landing page, walkthrough, device check, account step, and a paywall carrying the price you intend to charge. Cold visitors arrive from ads, read it, and either reach for their card or leave. What you are selling them is the decision, and that part is ready today.
Nothing gets built and nobody gets charged. What comes back is the share of strangers willing to commit, measured against the conversion rates shipped web2app funnels actually hit.
What does the verdict actually measure?
One number. Of the confirmed human visitors who landed on your funnel, what share completed checkout. Bot traffic is filtered out before the number is computed.
Under 1% of visitors converting means don’t build, because optimisation will not bridge a gap that size. 1% to 2% is promising: these are roughly tuned first ads, so the number is a floor and not a ceiling. 2%+ means build, because you are at web2app average before any tuning at all.
How much traffic does a verdict take?
A verdict unlocks at 30 funnel starts, meaning visitors who got past your entry hero. That is typically around 100 visitors, or $50 to $100 of ad spend. Below it, the dashboard shows a counter and your launch checklist instead of an answer.
Statistical confidence is a separate question and usually costs more traffic. When the interval still crosses a threshold, the dashboard works out how many visitors it would take at your current rate.
What does “high confidence” mean here?
It is a statistical statement, not a badge for having a lot of visitors. We compute the 95% Wilson score interval around your conversion rate. Wilson, because the normal approximation falls apart at rates this small.
Confidence is high only when that whole interval sits inside one band. If the range runs from 1.6% to 3.5%, it straddles the 2% line, the answer is not settled, and we say so.
What happens when one segment works and the rest don't?
The idea survives. An idea that converts for one reachable audience is a buildable idea, so if the blended rate falls below the 1% floor while any segment with at least 50 visitors beats the bar, the verdict is lifted to promising and the segment is named. You then go and buy more of that traffic. We never print “don’t build” over a working segment.
The funnel
What your visitors see.
Is a paywall for an app that doesn't exist ethical?
It is, on one condition we hold ourselves to: nobody is charged, and nobody is told the app already exists.
The checkout step collects a name and an email so you can notify people when it ships. No card is ever requested, by you or by us, so there is nothing to charge and nothing to leak. The visitor is told they are pre-registering, and the confirmation screen says it again.
Can I just collect a waitlist instead?
Yes. Every project gets a plain waitlist landing page with proper consent handling, and you can run only that if you want. Know what you are trading, though. A waitlist measures curiosity, and curiosity is free. It is a fine list to have and a poor predictor of revenue, which is exactly why email capture is the secondary signal here.
Which app platforms does it support?
iPhone and Android, either or both. Your answer drives a device check inside the funnel, so a visitor on the wrong device finds out before the checkout step rather than after it. The funnel itself is a web page and runs anywhere. The device check exists so you never take a decision from someone who could not install the result.
The test
Running it yourself.
Do I need to know how to run ads?
You need to be able to create a campaign, set a daily budget and paste a link. Every ad angle arrives with its primary text, headline, description and a creative, plus a checklist that walks the setup for each platform. What we cannot do for you is watch the budget. That stays in your ad account, under your card, with your caps.
Which platforms can I send traffic from?
Any of them. Each ad angle gets a tracked link, and a tracked link works anywhere a URL can go: Meta, TikTok, X, YouTube, Reddit, newsletter sponsorships, podcast reads, a Discord you already run.
We have no ad-platform API integration and we do not advertise one. The upside is that no platform is second-class here. The verdict segments by source, country, creative and audience wherever the click came from.
The licence
What you pay for.
What are tokens, and what happens if I run out?
A token pays for one generation job: building a funnel, redrawing a creative, rewriting an angle, regenerating a step. Everything else is unlimited. Traffic, dashboards, verdicts, emails collected, funnels served. The licence includes 50 tokens, they do not expire, and you can top up from your account if you run dry. Your existing funnels keep running either way.
What if it isn't for me?
Email support@verifytolaunch.com within 30 days and we refund the full amount to the original payment method. Tokens you already spent do not reduce it. There is no form to fill in and no retention script waiting for you.
